Live Events and Attendee Data

Soft Opt-In Marketing

When you register for one of our events or interact with us, we may use your name and email address to send you information about our wedding fairs, our wedding magazine, blog content, and other wedding inspiration and updates for the East Midlands.

We rely on the UK PECR “soft opt-in” rule, which allows us to send marketing emails where you have provided your details in connection with an event or service, provided you are given the opportunity to opt out at the time of collection.

You can opt out of these communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or the opt-out option provided at checkout or registration.

Photography and Filming at Events

We may collect images and video recordings at our events for promotional purposes. By attending the fair, you acknowledge and agree that an official photographer and event staff may be present and that footage may be used in future promotions. We rely on Legitimate Interest to document and promote our fairs. If you do not wish to be included in general footage, please notify a member of the event staff or the photographer on the day.

Sharing Data with Event Venues and Suppliers

We offer attendees the option to request a brochure or pricing information directly from the event venue.

If you voluntarily select 'Yes' to the venue brochure request on our ticketing form, we will share your Name and Email Address solely for the purpose of the venue sending you the requested information.

We do not control the venue's subsequent use of your data. Once we share your data with the venue, it is governed by their own Privacy Policy.
