When we get the chance to go on a Barkstage Tour of Dogs Trust Loughborough you don’t have to ask us twice!

What more perfect a morning than to be surrounded by furry four legged ones and heroes without capes who dish up the love and cuddles alongside the kibble and snacks.

Thank you to Megan for giving us the grand paw which included the adoption corridor (we had to be strong else we’d have left with all of them!), the exercise areas, hydrotherapy room (with the cutest life jackets hanging up), the puppy run plus the all important kitchen.

The tour highlights had to be fusses and boops with all the ‘B’s on the block - Brodie the Beagle, Bruno the St. Bernard, and Betty Spaghetti the Lurcher.

Our lovely girl, Daisy in her pink boudoir with en-suite garden

But seeing our special little Daisy girl who we sponsor, cosy and curled up in her pink boudoir with en-suite garden, was the pink glitter on top of the juicy cherry of the most wonderful cake. What a treat to have a high five paw through the glass. She even bought us a pink fluffy gift.

Daisy is a long-term resident here and has a personal staff of many to pander to her every whim!

Incredible work goes on here to make sure every furry make and model imaginable is cared for and showered with love.

It costs around £70 per day, per dog to keep these lovelies fed, watered, healthy and happy. There’s a team of staff and volunteers who work around the clock to keep the lights on and the residents happy.

Fizzydo Christmas Collection

Brian and I will be doing our annual Christmas present collection to deliver for the furry boys and girls this Christmas. If you’d like to donate food, blankets or toys then please contact EJ.
