I’m Jono. I’ve been photographing weddings for over ten years now and somehow I still love them as much as I did when I started. Every wedding has its own personality. You get the nerves, the laughter, the daft speeches, the emotional bits you swear you won’t cry at but absolutely will, and then that moment in the evening where shoes come off and the dance moves get… questionable. And honestly, that never gets old.
I’m not the quiet photographer lurking in the corner like I’m on a stakeout. I get involved. I chat. I joke around. Before long most guests assume I’m an old friend with a camera, and that’s exactly how I like it. When people feel comfortable, they look like themselves. No posing for the sake of it. No pretending you’re in a magazine shoot. No staring thoughtfully into a field wondering about the meaning of life. Just you, enjoying your day while I capture it all.
