Introducing Natascha Bankart

The Northamptonshire studio of bridal designer Natascha Bankart is tucked away in an English country garden in the Georgian market town of Oundle.

A Natascha Bankart gown is perfect for the bride who seeks a truly unique dress for her special day.

Surrounded by nature, it’s an idyllic space for Natascha Bankart to lose herself in.

The Midlands based designer not only creates bespoke wedding dresses and alternative bridal outfits from her leafy enclave but is often commissioned for Mother of the Bride and bridesmaids dresses.

I spoke to Natascha about her career since graduating in Fashion Design at the Manchester Fashion Institute.

“In between studies I worked as a pattern cutter at PVH for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein and after graduating I was a designer at a sustainable fashion supplier. I’ve been making and designing gowns however for over a decade so in 2021 I finally launched my own label.

Price Guide

I love drape and fashion history, and combined with a modern outlook I like to think this is what makes my work unique. Brides can choose from my in-house bridal collection which starts at £750 and is made to order. Alterations or customisations can be made to tailor the gown to the bride’s wishes.   Alternatively, if brides want something completely bespoke we’ll dream up a unique bridal ensemble together and watch it come to life. My bespoke bridal pieces start at £1000.”

Natascha is also available at selected times during the year to offer alterations and reworking outfits for the perfect fit.

A Natascha Bankart gown is perfect for the bride who seeks a truly unique dress for her special day. Creating garments that flatter your figure and reflect the real you is what we love to do best, combined with that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ which sets our gowns apart.

Vintage Design

Alongside her designs for the modern bride, Natascha is passionate about the history of fashion which is perfect for the less traditional bride who wants a statement dress which nods to their love of Bridgeton or Downtown Abbey. Whether she’s designing a Regency inspired lace wedding gown or a modern day pant suit, Natascha is comfortable working with a wide range of fabrics, embellishments and styles.

Sustainability

Natascha is also concerned about sustainability and as such designs all her creations with her carbon footprint in mind.

“Our made to order service reduces waste. 70% of the world’s garments produced each year end up in landfill. We focus on sustainability and ethical trade. All our garments are designed and created in the UK.”
